Property deal sourcing websites
Let me ask you something.. have you ever been asked what your website is for your property business, and you don’t have one?
I have and it wasn’t pretty...
I was all set to make a deal with a seller when they asked, but I had to admit I didn’t have one...
I was MORTIFIED and I couldn't get out of there fast enough!
I suppose I don't blame them though, I mean would you do business with a company that didn't have a website these days?!
Needless to say, I lost the deal...
But I resolved that I would get a website... And I did get one but I woefully underestimated what a website would do for my business...
It’s a bit like having a bestselling book - it gives you instant credibility. Which is important, especially when you’re just starting out.
Having a website helps reduce the friction when you’re doing deals.
Let me ask you something.. What do you think people do when they see your marketing and you don’t have a website?
One of two things:
Either 1) they judge you for not having a website and decide not to do business with you…
Or if they’re a little more determined, they might try to research you and when they don’t find a website, well, they probably give up… and then decide not to do business with you.
Either way, you’ve lost any credibility you had and that’s the end of the road for that prospect.
If you’re approaching an agent or a landlord for a lease option deal or a rent to rent or approaching a developer for a rent to serviced accommodation deal, do you think you’d have more chance of getting it if you have a professional website to show you mean business?
If you’re selling deals as a Sourcer or deal packager, then do you think a website would help you grow your investor list and showcase your deals?
If you’re a property developer, do you think having a website would help you secure funding or showcase your projects and help them sell faster?
Credibility may be the biggest benefit of a website but there are others:
They can be powerful Time saving tools and...
